Healthy eating on college campus. Need for more healthy dining hall for college student

Needs Assessment Paper Instructions
Each student will identify a health education, health promotion, or disease prevention problem/issue and develop a program to address the problem using the PRECEDE-PROCEED planning model. As part of the process, each student will develop a needs assessment paper. The needs assessment paper should address the following information:
- The identified problem/situation
- The Social Assessment of this problem/situation- Refer to D2L Assignment 3
·         Who is adversely affected by the problem, e.g., it is an issue that impacts a certain age, income, ethnic or geographic group? What are the demographics of the affected population (geography, age distribution, etc.)?
·         Why it is a problem to the identified population - is it due to political, financial, social, access or other issues?
·         What costs (economic, social, etc) are associated with the problem?
- The Epidemiological Assessment of this problem/situation- Refer to D2L Assignment 4
·         What is the magnitude of the problem (using state, regional, national, and/or other pertinent documents/databases)?
·         What behavioral, environmental, or genetic factors contribute to this problem? What risk factors and risk conditions impact the problem?
- The Educational & Ecological Assessment of this problem/situation- Refer to D2L Assignment 4
·         What predisposing, enabling, and reinforcing factors contribute to the population’s risk factors or risk conditions?
- The Administrative & Policy Assessment of this problem/situation
·         What local, state, or federal policies or regulations, if any, might impact the population’s risk factors or risk conditions?  If there are none pertaining to your topic, you can leave this part of an assessment out of your paper.
- Describe any other relevant information concerning the problem/situation.
The needs assessment will cite appropriate state, regional, and/or national information, which your future program could impact. Population figures, trends, etc. should be obtained from relevant documents such as the U.S. Census, state statistics, and similar documents.

Your papershould be 5-8 pages in length (excluding bibliography), size 12 font, double spaced, with 1” margins. A bibliography will be included using APAformatting with at least 7 quality references, and they will be no older than 2004. No Wikipedia references. While you can use tables, charts and graphs, these should only supplement your own text; use your own words to compose the needs assessment.
