Here is the first paragraph of the essay.

"According to Karl Marx, he perceived class was determined entirely by the means of production’, but the United States functions in a variation of that assertion. As Marx is correct to a certain extent, this does not completely describe the steadiness of race inequality within class in America. This has been the case for centuries. According to Fletcher “the fusion of race and capitalism emerged in the 1600’s” . Not only the present status between Whites and Blacks and Latino’s in the United States, but also including America’s indigenous peoples. This all occurred during formation of America. The development resulted in the “displacement of the indigenous population and the repopulation by an alien people” . The belief that one man is superior to another is where the severe modification in class relations was introduced. Fletcher makes a point in saying that “ settlerism was another successful means of redefining “them” and “us”” . "
