2. Description
of the organization: Oil refinery converts crude oil into gasoline, diesel
fuel, jet fuel, and heating oil. Delivers to East Coast customers via pipeline
transport, barges, railcars and tank trucks
3. Description
of the facility and its geographic location: Refinery located on Ny Port on NJ
harbor in Linden, NJ. Refinery surrounded by town of Linden NJ shipping ports.
Six miles from airport and adjacent to NJ Turnpike. Three mile distance from
Staten Island NY.
4. Name
and position of the person in charge of the Emergency plan: Foreman: James
Ghost
5. Forming your Collaborative Planning Team:

Foreman/ Incident Commander: James Ghost

Clean Water Company: If oil spill flows
into the ocean Clean Water Company will be notified. Responsibilities; prompt
response to oil spill which provides containment, recovery, cleanup, and
monitoring the spill movement.

Union County Hazmat Team: The Bureau of
Hazardous Materials protects against the impact of natural and man-made
emergencies and disasters on the people, property, and oil refineries of Union
County through preparedness, response, and recovery efforts.

Linden Fire/EMS Department,
Elizabeth/EMS Fire Department, and Newark/E,S Fire Department: Responsibilities of containing and
extinguishing any fires that might arise in the refinery. Find any victims and
provide basic and advanced life support in a pre-hospital setting, and
transporting to the nearest hospital.

Linden Office of Emergency Management: Agency in protecting the citizens and
property of the City of Linden, NJ
·
Fire Dept
of New York Marine Unit 9: Marine Operations, is charged with protecting
the 560 miles of waterfront surrounding the City of New York and its people. Marine
Operations proposed the use of "rapid response boats" that have the
capability to arrive within a reasonable time, make an instant impact and
provide essential emergency assistance.

Environmental
Protection Agency: EPA monitored air, water, sediment, and
waste generated by the cleanup operations after major oil spill or explosions.
·
United States Coast Guard: Is the lead response agency for spills in
coastal waters and deepwater ports.
