1.
Write a well-considered paragraph outlining the
relationship between morals, ethics, and laws. Use at least 2 academically
credible sources, and cite them within (Wikipedia is not an academically
credible source). Your textbook does not count as an academically credible
source. Discuss at least one thing that is currently legal, but you feel may be
immoral, or one thing that is currently legal, but you feel is perfectly moral.
Present your reasoning for why it is or is not moral.
2.
You have decided that it would be beneficial for
the organization to sponsor some company-wide diversity programs. How is diversity typically defined and what arguments can be made to
management for conducting these diversity-initiative programs? Use Diversity Inc. or
other sources to gather information to respond to these questions. Cite the
opinions of some experts (journals, etc.) who address these issues.
Your initial response should not
consist solely of opinion statements, but be supported by factual information.
As references, you may use your textbook or other articles and resources.
Remember to use APA format for in-text reference citations.
3.
The textbook Compensation Management in
a Knowledge-Based World provides a table that outlines the dimensions
and components of compensation (see pp. 18-19). Choose a dimension of
compensation (Ex.: Pay for Time Not Worked) and discuss
whether at least 2 specific components of that dimension are standard offerings
from most U.S. employers. If so, why; if not, why not?
